What types of personal information does DBS collect?

The following may be collected depending on the services that your employer selects from DBS

  • Information provided by you, such as your name, address, social security number, date of birth, e-mail address, phone number and employment information.
  • Banking information to enable us to provide you with claim reimbursement.
  • Documentation on medical/dental/vision expenses incurred by you or your qualified dependents.

 


 

What types of personal information about me does DBS disclose?

DBS will not disclose the above listed information to any persons or organization other than to your Employer, to DBS employees who support the benefit program(s) that your Employer sponsors and that DBS administers, and, if you are issued a debit card under any such benefit program, the bank that issues that card, the card processor, if any, that processes your card transactions, and the various financial intermediaries, if any, that mediate the cash transfers that fund your card transactions.
DBS does not sell, trade, or share your personal information with any persons or organizations other than those stated above. In addition, third parties other than your Employer cannot collect personal information about your online activities over time when you use our website and online services.

 


 

How does DBS protect the confidentiality and security of my personal information?

DBS has physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards that comply with federal standards to guard your personal information. Your information is protected by placing it on a secure area of the website. The servers have been enabled with SSL technology to prevent unauthorized parties from viewing your personal information that you provide or access during a secure session.

DBS maintains records of your account for up to seven years. Following that time period they are destroyed.
